Born
in mainland China and educated in Taiwan, Paul Ja-Min Tsang came to the
United States in 1960 to earn his doctorate in solid state physics and
pursue a career in engineering. During his 30 plus years working
for IBM Corporation and later for IBM-Micrus and Cypress Semiconductor,
he was responsible for dozens of inventions and patents. In spite
of Paul’s busy work schedule, he remained always devoted to his family.
He fostered in his two sons a love of science, music, painting, nature—these
inspiring and beautiful things in life which no doubt gave him his own
youthful and gentle spirit.
